A booking is only considered confirmed once full payment has been received and a confirmation voucher or email has been issued by Rest Camp Victoria Falls. Provisional or “held” bookings that are not paid in full within the stipulated payment deadline will be automatically released without notice.
Full payment is required at the time of booking unless otherwise agreed in writing. We accept cash (USD), bank transfers and card payments (Visa/MasterCard). A surcharge may apply to certain card transactions. All rates are quoted and payable in United States Dollars (USD).
All cancellations must be received in writing (email is acceptable) and are effective from the date received by Rest Camp.
More than 42 days before arrival: No charge (full refund less any bank/admin charges)
29 – 42 days before arrival: 50% cancellation fee of the total booking value
28 days or less before arrival: 100% cancellation fee of the total booking value (no refund)
No-show: 100% cancellation fee of the total booking value (no refund)
Leaving early or not using any booked nights, activities, transfers or other services does not qualify for any refund or credit.
All refunds are entirely at the discretion of Rest Camp Victoria Falls management. Where a refund is approved, it will only be issued in the exact same form as the original payment: cash payments are refunded in cash only; card or bank transfer payments are refunded via bank transfer only. This is strictly for tax compliance and anti-money-laundering purposes and is non-negotiable. Any bank or currency-conversion charges will be deducted from the refund amount.
Lunch and dinner are operated by an independent third-party restaurant. Rest Camp Victoria Falls acts only as an agent for meal bookings. All meal bookings, payments, cancellations, dietary requirements and refunds must be dealt with directly with the restaurant. Rest Camp accepts no responsibility or liability for meals.
Any request to change dates is treated as a cancellation of the original booking and the making of a new booking, so the above cancellation fees and availability rules apply. Minor amendments or name changes may be permitted free of charge at management’s discretion if requested at least 7 days before arrival.
Rest Camp Victoria Falls is not liable for failure to fulfil bookings or for any loss caused by events beyond our control including (but not limited to) natural disasters, high or low water levels at Victoria Falls, war, terrorism, government restrictions, border closures, pandemics, airline disruptions or national park closures.
Guests are required to have comprehensive travel insurance that includes cover for cancellation, curtailment, medical emergencies and evacuation. Guests travel at their own risk without such insurance.
Rest Camp Victoria Falls acts only as agent for all third-party services (activities, transfers, tours, meals etc.) and accepts no liability for loss, damage, injury or death caused by these operators.
These terms are governed by the laws of Zimbabwe. Any dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Zimbabwean courts.
By making payment and accepting the confirmation voucher, the guest confirms they have read, understood and fully accept these Booking and Cancellation terms and conditions. Rest Camp Victoria Falls reserves the right to amend this policy without prior notice. The policy in force at the time of booking confirmation shall apply. Contact: [email protected]
